Flow Cytometry

Our facility houses two state-of-the-art BD analyzers with high-throughput capability, a high-speed cell sorter, and both Mac and PC workstations for data analysis. Sorting services are offered through the facility, as well as instrument and software training.

What's New?

• Service fees for facility use will be assessed as of March 1, 2009. For details see User Fees page.
• The FACSAria has undergone a full system upgrade, including fluidics improvements and installation of a new computer running BD FACSDiva 6.1 software with a new Cytometer Setup and Tracking (CS&T) feature. The CS&T program automates cytometer setup, adjusts for instrument variablility, establishes optimal baseline settings and tracks instrument performance.
• The LSRII computer has been upgraded to Diva 6.1 with CS&T software.
• Visit our new Education page for seminars, tools, and links to various flow cytometry resources.
• The core facility has been optimizing Invitrogen's Vybrant DyeCycle reagents to facilitate sorting of viable cells on the basis of cell cycle phase (see image below). If this application is of interest to you, please let us know.
